The purpose of the Planning Commission is to help guide "appropriate" future development of the Village through the preparation, adoption, and amendments of the Village's Comprehensive Plans. The Planning Commission performs a wide variety of services for the Village related to zoning, community development, general planning, and land use development type issues.
Composition
The Planning Commission consists of seven (7) members, of whom at least four (4) members shall be citizen members who are not village officials. The Village President appoints citizen members, who are subject to the confirmation of the Village Board for a term of a year. The Village Trustee(s) are appointed annually by the Village Board.
