The Village Attorney is the chief legal officer of the Village. This position provides counsel and direction to the village by attending Village Board meetings when required and various committees and commissions. The Village Attorney provides written opinions to the Village Board, boards and commissions, the Village Administrator, and Village departments. The Village Attorney assists in preparing and reviewing legal documents, legislation, and other matters in which there is a Village interest.
