The Belleville Public Library Board oversees the day to day operations of the library and personnel. The Library Board shall have the duties and powers described by Ch. 42 Wis. Stats., and more particularly set forth in §43.58, Wis. Stats.
Composition
The Library Board for the Village shall consist of five (5) members. Membership shall consist of one (1) Village Trustee and four (4) citizen members. Citizen members shall serve a term of three years. The Village President appoints citizen members, who are subject to the confirmation of the Village Board for a term of two years. The Village Trustee is appointed annually by the Village Board. The Belleville School District (1) has a representative.
